
Actions to be taken against illegal and wihout number plates
Chief Traffic Officer Rawalpindi has issued orders to all circle in-charges across the district to take strict and indiscriminate action against installing illegal number plates, without number plates motor cycles and other vehicles, non-specimen number plates and fake number plates. These vehicles will be impounded within no times. They will be handed over to the owner by showing the receipt issued by the Excise department. According to the details, Chief Traffic Officer Rawalpindi Naveed Irshad has issued orders to all circle and sector in-charges of the district to take strict and indiscriminate action against those who install illegal number plates, non-specimen number plates and fake number plates.
Chief Traffic Officer Rawalpindi Naveed Irshad said that the decision of the operation was made to ensure the safety, lives and property of the public. After getting the number, it will be handed over to the owner by showing the receipt given by Excise. While a regular FIR will be filed against fake and bogus number plates. He further said that tampering with the number plate of a car and motorcycle and putting a non-model number plate is to hide the identity, which should not be accepted as an excuse by the citizens. Put the original number plate provided by Excise on vehicles and motorcycles, while citizens who have applied for number plates should carry the slip provided by the Excise office.
