Driving license verification means checking a license against the official record of the authority that issued it. In Pakistan there is no single national database: Punjab licenses live in DLIMS Punjab, Sindh licenses with the Sindh Traffic Police, and Islamabad, KPK, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and the Motorway Police each maintain their own system. That's why this hub starts by asking which authority issued the license — verification only works on the right portal.
On the official portal, you enter the license holder's CNIC number (and on some systems the license number). The result shows whether the license exists, which category it covers — motorcycle, car, LTV, HTV or PSV — and its issue and expiry dates. Driving license verification is free on every official portal, takes seconds, and is the only reliable way to confirm a license is genuine; printed cards can be forged, but the database record cannot.
Check your own license after it's issued or renewed to confirm the details were recorded correctly, and before the expiry date so you renew in time — driving on an expired license is an offence. Employers and ride-hailing services routinely run driving license verification on drivers before hiring, and buyers of used vehicles sometimes verify the seller's license as part of basic due diligence.
